Fix

First brunch of the year was at Fix ( Ah Hood Road) at the home team NS clubhouse. Al fresco dining, and the 4-seaters by the pool were very popular. Would have to either wait or share- it's free seating.

Famed for it's naan sandwiches, we had the tika chicken/achar naan-wich. j prefers the freshly made naans( he's a bit particular ) but I must say this concept is rather novel. Comes with a photogenic perfectly poached egg.

We enjoyed the freshly fried wings with the hint of lemon much much more. We have been hunting for good wings and this will be on our to go list should we have a wings craving

Three cheese Mac and cheese- cholesterol inducing as usual, just missing the crusty-ness of some other versions.

This place is best enjoyed emptier. And as it is halal ( very good foresight on the Grub folks ) it has become extremely popular with all Singaporeans. Like M says, probably best enjoyed on post call weekday mornings ( which I don't have a luxury of )

Kitchenette brunch

Scrambled eggs and veal sausage. Eggs were upsized cos we omitted one side. If you don't fancy your eggs overtly creamy you would be a fan of these.
Steak sandwich with avocado spread on ciabatta bread. This is a really well done sandwich. A well marinated steak on a lightly toasted bread.

Perfect for a quick and simple home made meal in a cosy setting. Service was earnest and forthcoming. Families here are clearly repeat visitors. We will be one of them :)

Artistry

Art gallery cum cafe serving Liberty coffee, we love the ambience here, feeling very at home with the folks here playing very good hosts. They are just starting their sandwich menu so no actual physical one ( they just rattle it off) so we had a roast beef sandwich - the ciabatta was amazingly airy and crisp, roast beef tasted awesome with the cranberry jam.

Cakes - some made in house like this awesome red velvet cake with coconut frills ( kels you will love this ! ) and pies courtesy of window sills pies- the chocolate mint one tasted vaguely of lemon curd and they very kindly gave us an amazing sea salt banana chocolate cake - that did us in it was amazingly smooth and dense. Loved the bits of sea salt.

Picked up accessories from Soon Lee - and one for kels too ;)

Off to dinner with J's gran!
